There are two main things areas to keep in mind when it comes to styling your demos.

1. Modals

Start frame

  • This is the first frame viewers get greeted with when they open the demo up. It also prompts them to start the demo.
  • To customize the Start frame, open up your demo and find the frame titled “Start” on the left hand side. It will always be the first one.
  • Once you’re in the frame, you’ll see a preview in the middle and edit menu on the right hand side
  • You can update the TitleMessageButton text, and Background image. Remember to hit Save when you’re done making changes.
  • The preview will get updated with your changes.

Lead capture frame

  • The lead capture frame within Lancey allows you to modify and style the lead form to capture information on demo viewers.
  • Example of the lead capture form below:
  • To customize the lead capture form, open up your demo and find the frame titled Lead on the left hand side. It will always be the second frame on the list.
  • Once you’re on the frame, you’ll see a preview in the middle and edit menu on the right hand side
  • You can update the TitleMessageSubmit button text, and control what type of information you want to collect form users when they fill out the form.

To gate the demo and ensure no one can view it until they fill out the form, remember to enable the “Enable gated demo” toggle from the menu.

  • Hit Save when you’re done making changes.
  • The preview will get updated with your changes.

End frame

  • This is the last frame user see with when they get to the end of the demo. It also prompts them to take follow-up actions such as sign up, book a time, or contact sales.
  • To customize the End frame, open up your demo and find the frame titled “End” on the left hand side. It will always be the last frame on the list.
  • Once you’re on the frame, you’ll see a preview in the middle and edit menu on the right hand side
  • You can update the TitleMessageType of actionButton text, and Background image.
    • The Type of action dropdown lets you control if you want viewers to see a Lancey lead capture form or send them to a custom link.
  • Remember to hit Save when you’re done making changes.
  • The preview will get updated with your changes.

2. Colours and fonts

Let’s cover the basics on how to style the colours and fonts within Lancey.

This applies to:

  • Start frame
  • End frame
  • Lead capture frame
  • Tooltips
  • Hotspots

To access the styling menu, make sure you’re on Demo edit mode. From there locate the Styles and fonts button at the top of the bar.

Once you click on the button, you’ll be presented with a menu that covers all of the options you have at your disposal to apply different styling and font options.

Any changes you make will be displayed on the preview for both Hotspot and Tooltip.

You can also control the font options under the Advanced dropdown.
